Spay Austin Coalition

Happy 2012!

Spay Austin Coalition (SAC) has started 2012 with a bang!  On January 9th SAC trapped 31 cats from an East Austin mobile home park.  Volunteers took them to get spayed or neutered and released them back to their home. As of January 12, 2012 SAC facilitated TNR (Trap, Neuter, Return) of 38 cats. Of course, all this excitement has us all fired up and ready for more TNR action! We will be focusing our attention on other East Austin community cats.  Spay Austin Coalition really wants to help make Austin a no-kill city and to help with the humane treatment of community cats.

We are off to a great start and you can help us continue the mission.  We need trappers and volunteers willing to help with transport and recovery, as well as donations of money or cat food.  SAC is also searching for a van to help more efficiently transport a large number of community cats to clinic at one time.

Please help if you can!
